OK folks I've got the AMD x86-64 programmer's manual. AMD tells me the
MSRs are K7 compatible (where they have the same #). This manual is NOT
NOT NOT NDA material. AMD reps have confirmed this both to me and others,
and the book is clearly not NDA.

What this means is that I can now look at the manual, find the registers
that really matter, and set them correctly for the K7 port. This means we
can junk my kludge and I think it means the K7 platforms will now be much
more reliable than they have been.

I'll try to get this in this week sometime. I am hoping we soon see SMP
support from Eric.

Congratulations to AMD for putting out these clear manuals for the K8.
They serve as an interesting contrast to the (lack of) Itanic manuals from
Intel.
