ZIF come with optional long leg sockets (Same color, green), downside is that it's 10 times more expensive than conventional 32 DIP long leg socket, why? because it's "experimental" tools.. yiks..

On a separate note, it may be worth mentioning that, for the ECS
K7SEM motherboard, one needs not only a 32-pin ZIF socket, but
also a couple of stacked standard 32-pin DIP sockets.  The latter in
order for the former's overhang to clear all the junk that surrounds the
BIOS' socket on the motherboard.

I just received my ZIF socket from Jameco today and discovered the
clearance problem when I prepared to install it.  With the
recommended alert in place, I would have ordered the DIP sockets at
the same time.
