just a suggestion:
what about to make Control service activity a little more
informative and have a button (or F1 key) to show a dialog
with the description of the service? (just like ntsysv)

i think it's very usefull AND it's (ntsysv) now with i18n
support (arnaldo, a guy from here made it and it's already
accepted by Erik Troan)

an example:
