When
upgrading linuxconf from 1.10* on RH 4.2 boxes to the latest 1.13r3-1 using rpm
-Uhv, I get:
**** No tty available ... linuxconf quitting
**** No tty available ... linuxconf quitting
**** No tty available ... linuxconf quitting
**** No tty available ... linuxconf quitting
**** No tty available ... linuxconf quitting
and rpm
hangs. When I perform a ps ax | grep linuxconf, I get these processes that run
indefinitely:
29087 p2 S 0:05 rpm -Uhv
linuxconf-1.13r3-1.i386.rpm linuxconf-gui-1.13r3-1
29114 p2 S 0:00 sh /usr/lib/linuxconf/install/rpm-postinst.sh 2
29142 p2 S 0:00 sh /usr/lib/linuxconf/redhat/scripts/setmodules.sh
29160 p2 S 0:00 linuxconf --setmod motd
29114 p2 S 0:00 sh /usr/lib/linuxconf/install/rpm-postinst.sh 2
29142 p2 S 0:00 sh /usr/lib/linuxconf/redhat/scripts/setmodules.sh
29160 p2 S 0:00 linuxconf --setmod motd
What's
the problem here? How can I correct it? Thanks.
