Makes good sense...

Indeed.

Everything is running smoothly once again... moving my existing Red Hat 5.0
server to a new machine with a clean install of Red Hat 5.2 was an
interesting adventure. The OS install was the smoothest I've seen yet...
migrating the server structure presented a wee challenge though. :)

I work fulltime in a predominantly Novell/NT environment and had to sneak
in a Linux/Apache Intranet for our department. After the server was running
nicely for awhile I began getting compliments on the Intranet's speed and
reliability. Most folks were surprised when I explained what was under the
hood... a few had questions, but how can you argue with the power,
scalability, reliability and PRICE. I find that it's sometimes easier to
ask for forgiveness than permission, especially in government. :) Maybe
I'll write up my Linux/Apache "stealth adventures" someday for LJ, heh...

Cheers... Dino
