Remove the file /etc/mail/deny.db and let linuxconf recreate it. I guess
this file was improperly initialised by an earlier linuxconf version.

Also, ask linuxconf to generate a new /etc/sendmail.cf. It should generate
a new one as needed. Check that and get back to us.
