There is no way to achieve that by configuration. The redhat PPP support
in built in the "redhat" module, which is loaded transparently when
running on a redhat system. I will take this code into a separate module
called redhatppp, which will be enabled by default on a redhat system.
This way you will be able to disable it if you want to.

They are pretty unrelated (totally in fact)

This would be a kludge, but feasable. On the other end, I am using both on
the same system (go figure :-) ).
I will make a separate module and we will see from there.
