I upgraded two RH 5.0 boxes to 5.2 and am happy that they will now run the network with Linuxconf installed. A couple of things that now happen: neither box will start the firewall. (manual ipfwadm script works) host static routes fail (route says netmask 000000 doesn't make sense), net routes are o.k. Linuxconf always wants to do a network reload on exit. If dnsconf is enabled, Linuxconf complains about every line in named.conf (I ran the Perl script to convert named.boot to named.conf). And possibly unrelated to Linuxconf: mount fails on any secondary drives in fstab including /proc (says it can't find the mount in fstab but it's there). A manual mount with options works (except /proc). netstat -M fails althought the masq entries are there and work. RH 5.2, 2.0.36 (also tried a fresh 2.0.35) I guess RH has changed the rules again?
