Nop. If linuxconf can help, the only thing it can do is to let guys
choose those colour combinations visually. You may see some line in
/etc/profile like this:
LS_OPTIONS="--color -F -T 0 -N"
eval `dircolors -b`
alias ls='ls $LS_OPTIONS'
It's what make your ls displayed in colour.
