I haven't forgot about the html page :-)

Is there anyway we could do frames for the page? I am thinking something
along these lines:

(frame1) Linuxconf Ver %s1
=====================================================================
(frame2) | (frame3)
<Networking> |
<User Accounts> | Welcome to Linuxconf Ver %s1
<File Systems> |
<Boot Mode> |
<Control Panel> |
<Control Files> | [Pictures of Penguins]
<Logs> |
<Date & Time> |
<Features> |
<System State> | <Special Entries To Linuxconf>
<Activate Config>| [Kool Logo] [Kool Logo]

Where the === and | shows the different frames. Everything in <> is a link.
Clicking on any of the links in frame2 would bring up authentication (if you
weren't already authenticated) and produce the correct menu in frame3. This
would mean basically that 4 pages would have to be served from
http://yourserver.com:98 instead of 1 as before, and that any link within
Linuxconf would have to have target='frame3' added to the link.

The "Special Entries To Linuxconf" link would break out of frames, since
that user probably doesn't need all of the links.

This would make the http interface sort of like the treemenu interface in X.

  Whaddaya think?

The mailing list won't let you quote more than X number of lines, so I am
