Hi there -

I am having trouble with the DNS setup om my web servers.

Running Red Hat 5.1
Kerenel 2.0.36
Linuxconf 1.11 rev 19
** I know there are newer versions
I hate changing software on production machines, except for security.
I do have 1.13 rev 10 on my testing box, and it does the same thing :(

Using DNS config has never give me any trouble other than I have to restart
named by hand since linuxconf doesn't pick up any changes.

When I went to put in a new customer last night it is giving me a strange
Revision count and no revision date.

Domain Revision date Revision count
bannerlove.com - -2147483648

I can put any information in the form that I want, when I enter
bannerlove.com for the domain it gives me this strange revision count. Here
is where it really gets weird, I have a number of other web boxes, and it
does the same thing on all of them :( Is this some kind of wild bug in
linuxconf ??? I can enter other domains after entering bannerlove.com with
no problem, they seem to be entered with no effect on them.

Can anyone else try to create a DNS entry with bannerlove.com as the domain
and see if it does the same thing to you? Thanks.

I can edit the bannerlove.com named file in /var/named by hand and it seems
to work, but when I try to make any changes via linuxconf it sets the
revision count back to -2147483648

Thanks.
