This is an old buglet, fixed some time back. See the Linuxconf on
RedHat 5.x FAQ at http://www.xc.org/jonathan/linuxconf-rh5.2-faq.html

Assuming you are using RedHat 5.2 (which came with Linuxconf 1.12r5),
the file you need to change is /usr/lib/linuxconf/redhat/mailconf.daemons
which should contain:

sendmail /usr/sbin/sendmail -bd
smrsh /usr/sbin/smrsh
makemap /usr/bin/makemap

You might want to consider upgrading to a more current version of
Linuxconf.
