This isn't really a Linuxconf related question, but here goes anyway... You can use inn for small feeds just fine, it certainly does not demand you take a 15GB/day full Usenet feed! I don't know of a product for Linux that exactly matches your description, but you could search the RPM database at http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/ and perhaps also the LSM (Linux Software Map) for suitable software. Maybe things like slrn-pull or suck will do what you need, though these are really offline news clients, not true NNTP news servers.
