O.k., I grabbed the patched ssh from solucorp (ssh.1.2.26ppp-1us.src.rpm).
Compiled it using defaults and I have this so far trying normal ssh
connections:
-compiled on a 5.0 box, works.
-compiled on a 5.2 box, client works, server refuses connections.
-compile fails on a 5.0-5.2 upgraded box. ./configure works, make fails with
the last errors "Z_BUFF_ERROR" and many more related to compress.c.

All these boxes have been running 1.2.26 from the same source tree using
defaults (/usr/local).

Any thoughts?
