Well I was hoping it was not going to come down to this, but I do believe I have exhausted all of my time and energy trying to learn how to configure Bind-8.1.2-5, loaded with redhat linux 5.2 on an intel pentium PC. I need to get the name server to host the IP's for the following network: kramer.domain.com who's IP is X.X.X.66 kramer is registered at internic as my primary DNS kramer is also going to be my mail server, and my www. server. george is X.X.X.67 and is my secondary name server george has NT server (for now) but I can wait to set up george's dns services newman is X.X.X.68 and is the mail and www server for anotherdomain.com my default gateway is at X.X.X.70 and I have no data about it. (I don't even know where it is in the building!) I did follow all of the directions in the HOWTO on the distribution disk, but no joy!! All I get when I attempt an nslookup in a non authoritative answer. I hope I am not asking for to much, but I sure could use help recreating the necessary files for bind to work. I am very new to linux and I really do want to become as proficient at it as I can!
