Using linuxconf 1.12r7, I want to change my network settings using linuxconf
as follows:
eth0: 195.11.233.97 netmask 255.255.255.240
195.11.233.101-109 netmask 255.255.255.240
195.11.231.97 netmask 255.255.255.192
195.11.231.101-109 netmask 255.255.255.192
eth1: 192.168.125.1-254 netmask 255.255.255.0
The idea is to have the internal/external networks (intranet/internet)
physically separated.
The idea is that there are two means of communicating to the ISP. The first
trough network 195.11.233.96 (gateway 195.11.233.110) and the other trough
network 195.11.231.64 (gateway 195.11.231.65). This way, if the first
connection fails, the other connection can take over.
I have managed the first part (see ifconfig output below), but it generates
the wrong netmask for addresses 195.11.233.101-109 (but it seems to work
trough the ISP - this situation has been working for months, but only today
I discovered the wrong netmask):
eth0: 195.11.233.97 netmask 255.255.255.240
195.11.233.101-109 netmask 255.255.255.0
eth1: 192.168.125.1-254 netmask 255.255.255.0
How should I proceed with the 195.11.231.97,101-109 with the correct netmask
to get on the same ethernet adapter?
