This is a bug in ifconfig, or the kernel. It is a cosmetic bug. It did the
job ok (deactivate an IP alias), but spits this error.

The other problem is with the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup-aliases

Pick the replacement at ftp.solucorp.qc.ca/pub/linuxconf/devel/redhat-5.2
