Usually, they just mean that you sent SMTP email to the hosts concerned, and they (running sendmail or equivalent) did identd lookups back to your host. All nice and normal. That is how sendmail is set up by default, it attempts identd lookup on all incoming SMTP connections. How useful that behaviour is, is another question... If you don't want identd lookups to happen, just turn off identd completely. Nothing will stop working as a result. It's an optional (and rather flawed) attempt at offering identification of who owns what processes across the network.
