LinuxDC++ 1.0.3 has only ever used the 0.698 core. 1.0.3 is the latest
released version available and I believe it was the latest at the time
of lucid as well. If you want to use a later core then you will need to
subscribe to our PPA and install one of our alpha binaries of our
upcoming 1.1.0.

Title:
  1.0.3 uses core .698 on maverick

Status in Linux DC++:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  it appears that an update/patch applied in the maverick edition of ubuntu
(10.10) reverted the core to .698. the only reason i became aware of this is
because of the problem linuxdc++ will not ever connect to ADC servers, for one
reason or another.
  either it will not connect period or it will return a SSL error code 5.
  i used apt-get install to get it then apt-get update. so i assume it is the
newest version.
  another of my aquatances also has had this problem and used the ubuntu lucid
version, it has the latest core (and connects fine)
