LinuxDC++ 1.0.3 has only ever used the 0.698 core. 1.0.3 is the latest released version available and I believe it was the latest at the time of lucid as well. If you want to use a later core then you will need to subscribe to our PPA and install one of our alpha binaries of our upcoming 1.1.0.
