You're the second person (bug #705609) to say that Lucid somehow has a later linuxdcpp core version than maverick. I'm not sure how anyone is seeing that, since 1.0.3 has only ever had one core version and that is 0.698. If we would've updated the core version then we would've of course updated the linuxdcpp version as well. Also, examining the source tars and diffs for the different distributions at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linuxdcpp shows that they're both still 1.0.3/0.698.
The only thing I can think of is that you had installed the alpha of 1.1.0 from our PPA (https://launchpad.net/~linuxdcpp-team/+archive/ppa) on Lucid since it has core 0.75. When you updated to Maverick you installed from the Ubuntu repositories which only has 1.0.3. ** Changed in: linuxdcpp (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of LinuxDC++ Team, which is subscribed to linuxdcpp in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/705327 Title: Lucid / Maverick version mismatch Status in “linuxdcpp” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Binary package hint: linuxdcpp Lucid 1.0.3-1 has "Core Version" 0.75 Maverick 1.0.3-1ubuntu2 has "Core Version" 0.698 The older core suffers from bugs in the adc implementation. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~linuxdcpp-team Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~linuxdcpp-team More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
