Sharing folders

Bug description:
DC++ user since some time already... in windows that is.. recently switched
to linux.
I have an external usb- HD with all my media files on it I wish to share.
But...there s also a lot of files in separate folders I do NOT wish to share;
personal pics and so on...
The app seems to give me the chance to share folders, but when I select a
folder on the external HD it selects the whole disk...
Is there anyway around this?
