seems sound but i'm a bit wary about performance. 1) can you measure refresh times with & without your patch? 2) does the whole list really have to be refreshed on each hub connection / disconnection? 3) there is no "disconnected" text?

Some hubs still allow multiple connection from the same client and this would be one way to avoid this happenning occasionally.
