I would like to recommend that the brochures, etc. exist only as data
files (and preview scans on the linuxdemo website) and that the various
LUGS be given a chance to download the data files. They could then take
over the printing issues locally with local funding (if any) and do
without them if they can not get their members to cough up a couple of
dollars to fund the printing. The amounts involved are likely to be so
trivial as to be worthless (for tax purposes) in the United States ...
although I have no clue about how other nations handle the matter. In my
lug, (MDLUG) even a $2.00 one time donation (from each member) would
print an awful lot of brochures. There is the compelling point that,
since there are NO administrative salaries to contend with, all the
money would actually end up in brochures, etc.
