Sometime Today, Homyar Bhathena assembled some asciibets to say:
> is there a way to create a bootable floppy using fdformat?

go to /usr/src/linux
make zdisk, make bzdisk with your disk in the drive. I am not sure, but
think that the disk should not be mounted as you have to do a rawrite and
not a fswrite.
You could also do this:
dd -if=/boot/bootimage -of=/dev/fd0 and some other parameters here.
