Sometime on Jun 3, Homyar Bhathena assembled some asciibets to say:

mgetty. Read the archives. Kiran posted something about this back in Jan
this year.
Be warned though, mgetty will change ownership of the device it uses to
uucp.root and perms to -rw--r--r-. That effectively means that no other
user can use the modem. To get around this, I recommend using a different
device for dial in and dial out. See kiran's post.
