Perl at its best?? http://www.slashdot.org .Perl is the ultimate glue
language, extremely flexible, and designed to work with text strings.
Suitable apps? Scripts which need more than the shell provides, but not
enough to need C. Or scripts which do lots of text processing.
Actually almost anything, there is a Perl shell under development at
sourceforge.
