Mail from ILUG-BOM list (Non-Digest Mode)
Anyone able to dial into Dishnet with Wvdial. I couldn't. When I run
Wvdial it goes upto,
"Carrier detected. Waiting for prompt"
But no prompt comes. And so, wvdial by default starts the pppd, without
any authentication taking place.
Someone had mentioned earlier that Dishnet uses CHAP authentication. What
is CHAP? And how to configure Wvdial to use CHAP?
BTW, will I have to change the /etc/resolv.conf with the new DNS or I can
just add more DNS entries to it.
