I have not heard of any programming courses for Linux specifically. I
doubt any exist. If you say only 'programming', that would include C, C++,
Java, Perl, Python, etc. Haven't heard of courses for Perl and Python, but
surely they exist.

But such courses would be general programming.

When you say Linux programming, you mean Linux kernel programming. I
seriously doubt there are any courses for this, and if there are I
question their merits. Kernel programming is not something one learns from
courses.

As for certification, I believe NIIT has some RedHat Certified Linux
Professional, or some such, course. That may be useful. Haven't seen the
course syllabus or anything.
