Mail from ILUG-BOM list (Non-Digest Mode)
I am using Red Hat 6.2 (PCQ). When giving the "halt" command as non user,
the system asks for password. Surprisingly, the password it is expecting
is *not* that of root but of the user calling the command. Is this a
bug? Shouldn't only the root have the permission to shutdown the
system?
