Mail from ILUG-BOM list (Non-Digest Mode)
hi,
To prevent confusion, the chat server is an IRC server.
To connect you need to use an IRC client like ircII, epic, bx, mirc,
pirch etc and NOT http://irc.ilug-bom.org.in in your web browser as
many people have tried doing. Check www.irchelp.org for info on IRC.
Once you've gotten yourself a client connect to
Server: irc.ilug-bom.org.in
Port: 6667
If you can specify a channel it is #linux . Otherwise join it
after connecting.
I think we need a FAQ on the ilug-bom site regarding this.
