Mail from ILUG-BOM list (Non-Digest Mode) _______________________________________________ I have Creative Ensonique 1371 (Vibra) sound card. I use Red Hat Linux 6.2 and the card is auto detected and gets configured perfectly. I am able to play most of the files types like .wav, .mp3, .rm, etc. But midi files doesn't play. I tried playing them with "playmidi" which is a console midi file player, "kmidi" which is KDE midi file player. Both give the same error "open /dev/sequencer : No such device". There is a file "/dev/sequencer", then what does it mean by "No such device". Should this file be linked with some other device? [for example /dev/dsp]. I haven't tried linking it as I am not very sure about it. Is there any other configuration to be done? Rajen. _______________________________________________ Website: http://www.ilug-bom.org.in/ilug Linuxers mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://ilug-bom.org.in/mailman/listinfo/linuxers
