ethereal is *really* good for drilling down into packets, if ur looking to
monitor tcp traffic, it can build ascii conversations from the stream ......
but actually, it all depends on what u want to monitor and why .....first
question is - do u *need* to look into the packet?
and going by the number of tools i've seen on the net...i really dont think
we need to re-invent the wheel, as far as packet sniffers go..;-)
