Hello Everyone,
I have a problem browsing the net from my Linux PC which is on a Win2000 Adv. Server Network. I have a modem installed on my Win2000 server and I have enabled internet connection sharing. I am able to check mail using Kmail, ftp and telnet to vsnl from my linux PC but I am unable to browse (no http using netscape). Although Lynx works fine. How do I get netscape working? I have set it for manual proxy and given my server ip for http and port as 80. But it doesn't seem to work. Is there something wrong with my port. It gives me a IIS server error message saying 'Page not Found'. Since it accesses an error msg from IIS means it does communicate with the IIS and win2k adv. server. Any ideas how to solve it? Win2000 advanced server and my workstations are win2000 professional and one Linux. Hope someone out there can help me. Thanks! Rgds, Max. ( [EMAIL PROTECTED] ) Tel. 2832684/2872367 |
