Mail from ILUG-BOM list (Non-Digest Mode)

hi guys,
i have a m/c whose display hangs when i switch from X to command line when
using the Alt-Fn keys. i use linux 6.1 installed from the pcq cd.
the display chip is on the motherboard which is intel 810.
i am told that there r problems with this board. so can u guys tell me what
i should do.
