This is rapidly turning into a very bad interpretation of "A commedy of
errors", and people are needlessly being hurt.
Chand made sweeping statements on the ilug-hyd list about ilug-bom and
ilug-blr. These were very immature statements to make, and he has
subsequently proven that he had nothing to substantiate his
claims. Hopefully, he will be more careful from now on.
Suresh was a bit overenthusiastic about cross-posting, and managed to
confuse the issue even further with some comments about freeos.com that
were definitely uncalled for. I have since pulled him up for this, and
this will not happen again.
Now Trevor feels he is being attacked, which naturally will cause all his
friends to come rushing to his "rescue" - in the form of sending *me*
flames and abuses (sample below).
Please stop this *NOW*. The issue is being needlessly politicised, and
this will cause a war I DO NOT WANT TO SEE! I have been dragged into this
for no reason at all (I had protested privately to Chand, but he chose to
reply publicly, and in the meanwhile, Suresh made the original post
public, too).
Nikhil (Hyderabad), Biju (Bangalore) and Sagar (Bombay) - please talk to
you LUG members and ask them to put the brakes on what appears to be
snowballing into an inter-LUG war.
