For sending an ALRM to qmail, there is another way to do it. I edited
/etc/rc.d/init.d/qmail (even that doesn't exist; I had to hack one based on
the httpd rc-script. Now that qmail rc-script has a few standard commands
like start, stop, restart, reload and also one called "flush". It basically
does the same thing ... killall -ALRM.
