HI,

The fsck manpage mentions an alternative superblock that can be used in
case the primary sb gets corrupted. But there is no mention of where this
is stored, or even the place where the primary superblock resides. I tried
to search on the net, including the official site for ext2 at mit. But I
couldn't find any mention of the actual locations.

Please help! This is in order to help me recover my hard-disk in case I
lose the filesystem in a power outage, the way I did a few months ago. I am
thinking of moving over entirely to linux, but this instability is one big
problem. Reiserfs is a wonderful idea, but reformatting my hard-disk isn't!

Sameer.
