I need to connect a keyboard, monitor, and serial cable common between two
boxen, because I want to use 1 set of kbd, mon, and modem on two boxen. I
don't want to disturb the uptime of one box. Is there a switch or switches
for this?

I know I should get ethernet cards and telnet about, but I figure cable
switches would be cheaper. Or can I build the switches?

BTW, kbdrate sets the keyboard rate. When I disconnect and reconnect the
keyboard, it loses the set information and goes to default. Does that mean
programmed data is stored in the kbd? Where is the 8259(?) (kbd
controller)?
