dont worry about the popularity Kiran, just do what u gotta do, we'll do
what we gotta do ;-)
do mention in this issue that u will be continuing with Linux converage in
the future...dont let this be a one-time exception.
Also, carry Debian distro....coz this is where the hardcore Linuxers are
mad at PCQ...u want those converts dont u ? ;-)
There are some very difficult patches to make Staroffice 5 run with
RH6...most people wont bother..

Current policy is to support Linux in proportion to the popularity of
the Linux Special. That means it is in your hands. :)

We are still waiting for the RH6 CD from Red Hat. Should be around in a
few days.
There is another problem too: someone on the net (www.lwn.com I
think)
reports that StarOffice does not work with RH6 due to some library
compatibility problems. If that is true, we are in deep trouble since we
will be carrying Star Office 5 (OEM edition) on CD.

Coming up in a future edition of CHIP. We already have SuSE 5.3 and 6,
RH 5.2, Caldera 2.2, and all Linux Mall cheapbytes CDs with us. They're
waiting to be tested once the Linux Special is on its way.
I've seen only SuSE 5.3, and comparing it with RH 5.2 (which I use), I'd
say stick to Red Hat.
