Well you see the problem is that if i use the kppp
dialer..nothing happens after the handshake....
the terminal window comes up just like in windows but here nothing
happens.......so i use the kppp version of minicom ..i.e. the inbuilt dialer
and manually login to vsnl....but half a minute later my modem disconnnects
and gives me the irritating NO CARRIER message....
arre also that script you sent me i tried to use it but it gives me the help
menu of pppd where the syntax is explained........why is that????
and when i type that command at the prompt or kvt it dies ...........
