i have configured my mail server as linux
all user ids have been made at the server end( domain ) and also at the
linux machine.
i m easily able to send mail from my clients to my server in a flash .
but i m not abl to know whether it is really goin or not.
i have some minor problems that are just waitng to be solved :
1> server - linux 6.0
2> clinets - nt server and other win95 machines
3> pinging and network easily done and working fine.
4> server ip of linux - 192.168.1.1
5> fetchmail configured : all users and ids given
6> fetchmail autporbed my servers ip as IMAP
7> XISP is my dial up - gives sometime tcp error ( no route to host )
8> works sometimes after a break but a slow i guess
9> Netscape took all my IMAP folders auto.
10> squid - http_port 8000 given in squid.comf
Problem :
1> clients configured at
outlook express : pop3 - 192.168.1.1
smtp - 192.168.1.1
2> not able to receive mails of the specified user
error : cannot connect to server
3> also please let me know my squid server and client side setting please
i need a reply urgently as i m doin it right now
