Not at all Rohit. I perfectly understand what you apprehensions are. Here is
how i do it at home. Here is my partitioning scheme.

hda1    100mb      linux \
hda2    1gb           windows c:
hda3    2 gb         openbsd partition
.
.
.

now  my active partition is hda1 and I have installed lilo IN hda1

If at all my linux partition or lilo goes bust all I have to is boot through
any floppy (linux or dos or windows 98) run fdisk and
just change your active to your primary dos partition and you are back in
business (at least your windows is up and running)
