could you provide details of your machines e.g. processor, RAM, HDD, swap,
Linux distro and version running etc... ??
kernel optimisation works !!! By default RH6.1 kernels are compiled for
386s...u can recompile them to use the power of newer processors. Dont know
much about Debian kernels...Sagar, Nagarjun ?
Also try using lighter window managers...icewm (though i dont like its
themes), sawmill etc...
Or KDE is well integrated...u can also use KFM as your browser instead of
the biiiiiiigggg Netscape.

hello linux gurus,
i need ur help to fine tune my linux m/c's so that i
can make optimim use of it. i have 4 m/c in Tux
cyberia kalyan [ only linux m/c's]. what i have seen
is that when i put on my X-resources the m/c response
is dumb. i know that if configured properly it will
work better. i have just run out of ideas of doing so.
btw, i have never tinkered with the kernel, do u think
that would help it work any better. any suggestions
are welcome!!
Also in lieu with problems in netscape posted out here
i have also faced similar problems in getting yahoo
pager work. it simply kills all netscape clients
running and exits!! any pointers.
