No problem. It's been done many times, especially with older kernels that
don't recognise newer CDROM's. I did it with Slackware (can't remember
the version) back in 96 and 97. That was one of the first few PC Quest
CD's and is what introduced me to linux. unfortunately I did not have a
computer then.
