Use one of the following -
1. Boot floppy with tftp & bootp (to contact the server)
2. EPROM programming (i have some documentation for that) ... no
floppy..just switch on pc and it finds the server (basically the contents
on above floppy are put on EPROM with few changes)
3. Use a 2 floppy distro (with X)...'xdenu' or if X is not required there
are lots of single floppy distros
4. Create a custom boot floppy ... then telnet to Linux server..

Yes, after all you do not use the disk. You can boot it from a
floppy, the Ethernet card (or use use the disk and loadlin to boot it
from windows)
