[ILUG-BOM] (Offtopic) Harddrives

Is there a substancial difference in performance between (say) an IDE
7200rpm 2MB cache drive and an IDE 5400rpm 512Kb cache drive both with
DMA/66 interface, to warrant the extra cost of the first drive.

Any pointers to what are currently a good drives to buy and also pointers to
where I can buy.
