Thanx Saurabh, and Pl. note that my name is 'Seshan' and not 'Sheshan'
I tried out all these alternatives. I know that primary key cannot contain null values
and It must be defined as not null. But, I found that my problem was some thing else.
I had installed MySQL as a part of default installation of mandrake
and both MySQL 3.20.x and 3.22.x were existing. I uninstalled both and downloaded ver
3.22.29 and now its working fine. Frankly, speaking I did not understand the whole
problem.
Anyway thanx once again.
Seshan.
