Hi,

> Short Version - I need a working version of the COREL Linux boot image.

> Long Version

As those of you who had the misfortune of trying to install Corel Linux
from the PC-WORLD Jan 2000 CD would have realised -

   1. The *damned* CD-ROM is not bootable
   2. The /tools directory is corrupt - so rawrite*.exe wont run.
   3. The directory containing the boot image is corrupt.

Luckily for penny pinchers like me, my guess is the rest of the directories
are NOT corrupt. (How do I know?, I opened up some of the files in a plain
simple text editor. The README's / help files in the above two are binary
junk, while those in the rest are ascii text).

So, to save my handsome investment of Rs 85, I theoretically need -

   1. The /tools directory - I've downloaded the relevant files from
ftp.debian.org, and I'm sort of hoping that it will work - afterall, these are
MS-DOS programs right? [filelist - fips20.zip, gzip124.exe, lodlin16.zip,
rawrite1.zip, rawrite2.zip, unz512x3.exe]

   2. The Boot Image

Now, I've done everything that I could: checked up the COREL site, checked
up the PC-WORLD global site (I could not locate the Indian site), looked up
various misc. linux sites hoping that I could get the boot image (1440 verson)
from somewhere. I could not.

All I can get is a 300 MB+ ISO CD image - I cant afford such a large
download, and worse - I dont have a CD burner either.

So, could any of you help me getting to this file? If any of you happen to
have the *1440.img, could you upload it up, either at the www.ilug-bom.org
site or some other public ftp server?
