For all interested: I've tried, tested and successfully used mgetty with
callback i.e call a linux box, ask it to call you back and /then/ initiate
a ppp connection. So I can have a ppp connect with a remote box without
paying for it. Further, I implemented this on a remote box with a second
modem, which I connect to the net, and masquerade internal IPs.
Briefly, I have free internet - phone costs = NIL, Internet account cost
= NIL :)
If anyone else thinks this kind of setup might be useful,
