Hi munir,

Apache server is now an "out-of-the-box" soluion in Linux. It is bundled withall the
distros. Apache has its configurations files
under /etc/httpd/conf. now this path may change depending on the distro that you are
using. So simply search for httpd.conf from root
directory if you are lost.

To publish static HTML pages, the apache web server does not need any tweakng. but if
you wish to enable perl, php3, cgi-support you
may have to edit httpd.conf file.

The how-to's are available at (ht) | (f) tp metalab.unc.edu. These are comprehensive
documents and are targetted ast begineers.

Seshan.
